How do I use QLess to purchase books for my child?

Welcome to QLess, your online portal to purchase school supplies for the forthcoming academic year.

  • Use your Mobile number to Log into the application. If you do not have an account, sign up (FAQ 4).
  • After logging in, you will be taken to the list of books prescribed for your ward by his/her school.
  • In case you have multiple children registered, you shall have the option to pick the student whose books you want to purchase.
  • Click on continue to select the Delivery Address.
  • On clicking on the Self Address, you will have the provision to enter/edit your address.
  • Remember, this is the address that the books will get delivered to. Hence, ensure it is complete and correct, including the pin code.
  • You will also have the option to correct your email ID.
  • Please ensure it is verified since all the important imformation shall be mailed to you on that ID
  • Once you have selected the delivery address, you will be required to make an online payment.
  • The menu options "Orders" will provide you with the details of the order that you placed.
  • Apart from the message and email notification, you can also track the status of your order from this page.

How do I log in?

You need to use your mobile number, that you have registered with the school.
You will receive an OTP on that number which will then help you log into the application

How will I know if my account exists in the application?

You will have received a notification from your school indicating whether or not you have an account in the application.
You can also try to login with your mobile number to check if you have an account.
In case you don't have one, you will be required to register an account yourself, using the Sign up option, on the application to make a purchase.

How do I register?

  • Click on the "Sign Up" option.
  • Fill in the required details.
  • Select your school from the list.
  • In case your school isn't on the list, they probably haven't registered with us. In such a case, you will need to contact your school.
  • Once you have registered, you can immediatey log into the system with the mobile number you have used.
  • However, you will need to verify your email separately to ensure you receive all important communication from our side.

What are Streams and Optionals mentioned in the sign up sheet?

The 'Streams' mentioned in the sign up sheet is applicable to only classes 11th and 12th.
The 'Optionals' mentioned is the language choice that your child would have opted for in their class.
You will need to select the correct 'Optional' choice to ensure that you receive all the books prescribed for that specific optional.

I do not know my child's roll number. Can I still sign up?

That is alright. The system will not use the roll number to identify your child's prescribed set of books.
All you need is your child's class and optional.

What if I have multiple kids to register?

You will need to register each child individually with their respective details.
That way, you can register multiple kids in the same school or different schools and different classes.

Can I register one child with my number and other child with my spouse's number?

Yes. In this scenario, you will have two different accounts for your children and will need to log into them separately to place orders for the respective child.

I do not remember the number that I have registered with the school

You will need to call your school admin to get that information.
In case the number registered at the school is in use no more, you can register an account with us using your present mobile number.

I do not have the mobile number that I gave to the school.

That's alright. Use your present mobile number to register into the application .

I am not able to select my child. It says "Purchase Period not enabled"

Every school sets their own time period for the sale of books. The message you are viewing is because your school hasn't initiated their purchase period yet.
Once that period starts, the online sales begin and you can access your child's list and buy them.
Kindly contact your school administrator to learn of their specific purchase period.

I did not receive the email notification.

Kindly check if you have verified your email ID or not.
There will be a RED banner on the top of your page which will inform and remind you that you haven’t verified your email ID.
Once you verify it, you will receive all the email notifications.

I placed an order for one of my children, how do I place the order for the others?

You can place order for the child you selected after logging in.
Kindly log out and log in again. This time select the other child for whom you need to place the order.

I am able to login using my mobile number but only one of my children is available for selection. What about the other child?

Some of the schools that we work with, send us their student list which we upload on to the application.
In such a case you will be able to directly log in using your mobile number and will find your child's details.

However, some schools expect you to register your child with us. In such a case, you will need to use the sign up option and register your other child. Use the same mobile number for convenience. However you can use any other number you want to.

I am not getting any notifications on my mobile number.

Kindly check if you have activated the DND option on your phone. That will prohibit our messages from getting through to you

What happens if I do not verify my mail ID?

In many cases, we have found the mobile numbers to have activated DND.
Such numbers might not receive the notifications that we send to update you of your order's status.

Hence, a valid and verified email ID is required to keep track of all the important information concerning your order

My order didn't get placed but the amount got debited.

In case the amount got debited from your account but the order didn’t get placed, there could be two scenarios:

  1. We did receive the amount but NOT the notification.
    In such a case, we shall approve the payment and your order will get placed.
    This will however take 3-4 working days. So kindly give us that time to sort it out.
  2. In the case that we do not receive the amount, it will automatically get credited back to you account and you will need to place the order again.
    This process takes 3-4 working days as well on your bank's end.
  3. In case there are any other issues, please contact the customer care number mentioned.

What is a collection point?

In the city of Vizag alone, we have given our customers the option to get their orders delivered to the collection centre instead of their home. These orders will then need to be picked up by the customer.

Once your order reaches the collection point of your choice, you will receive a notification indicating a time when you can go and pick it up. At times, your child's school can also be the collection point. If selected, you will be required to collect the books from the school once they inform you of its availability.

I do not want to select all books since I have few old books with me.

If you are not able to select individual books from the set, it is so because your school has requested it that way.
Please contact your school admin to sort it out.

I paid for the entire set of books but received a partial shipment. What about the remaining books?

Many times, the specific publishers are not able to meet the demand and we fall short of copies.
However, the remainder of the books will be handed over to your ward in their school as soon as they are back in stock.

By when will I receive my order?

It will take us 6-8 business days to deliver your order.

How can I track my package?

You will receive communication from our end and from our courier partner which will provide you with the tracking information.
Make sure you have verified your email ID and your mobile number doesn't have DND activated.

I have received damaged books and/or stationery items.
